Taraba APC State Working Committee Endorses Gov Kefas for Second Term

The Taraba State Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has endorsed Governor Agbu Kefas for a second term in office.
The endorsement was announced during a meeting held at the APC State Secretariat in Jalingo.
Addressing party leaders, stakeholders and members, the party’s State Chairman, Barrister Ibrahim Tukur El-Sudi, described the committee’s tenure as historic, noting that it oversaw the transition of the APC in Taraba State from an opposition party to the ruling party.
He said the shift followed Governor Kefas’ decision to join the party, which, according to him, strengthened the APC’s position in the state.
He stated that the Governor worked closely with party leaders to ensure what he described as a smooth and peaceful realignment process, crediting his leadership with fostering unity within the party.
The committee also highlighted the conduct of congresses across the 168 wards and 16 local government areas of the state, describing the exercise as largely peaceful and orderly.
It recalled the rally that formally received the Governor into the APC, which was attended by Vice President Kashim Shettima, the party’s National Chairman, members of the National Working Committee and several serving governors.
According to the committee, Taraba recorded strong performance in the party’s electronic membership registration and revalidation exercise, adding that membership continues to grow across wards in the state.
The Working Committee commended Governor Kefas for what it described as inclusive leadership and respect for party structures during the congress process, saying this strengthened internal democracy within the APC in Taraba.
Based on these developments, the committee unanimously endorsed Governor Kefas as the party’s candidate for the next governorship election in the state.

The party called on members and residents to support Governor Kefas and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in what it described as a collective effort towards progress and national development.
