NIGHT ATTACKS: KOFARE-AGRIC RESIDENTS IN ADAMAWA CALL ON COMMISSIONER OF POLICE TO DEPLOY PATROL TEAMS

The Kofare-Agric Unity Development Association (KAUDA) has made an urgent appeal to the Adamawa State Commissioner of Police, CP Morris Dankombo, to deploy permanent night patrol teams to the area following persistent violent attacks on residents.
The call for action comes after a fresh wave of attacks in the early hours of Thursday, during which more than four houses were burgled.
Residents were reportedly wounded, and valuables, including cash, were stolen.
The incidents, which occurred between 2:00 AM and 3:00 AM, have heightened fears in Kofare-Agric, a fast-growing and densely populated residential axis that currently lacks adequate security coverage.
Despite the efforts of local security networks organized by KAUDA, criminal activities—believed to be carried out by perpetrators from the neighboring Lakare settlement—continue to escalate.
Speaking anonymously to newsmen after the latest attacks, some prominent members of KAUDA stressed the need for immediate intervention.
They appealed not only for consistent night patrols but also for the establishment of a police outpost in the area.
According to the residents, a dedicated police presence would help track down criminals and more effectively curb the rising crime rate.
The association has urged the Commissioner of Police to treat the security situation in Kofare-Agric with utmost urgency to ensure the safety and security of its residents.
