Greenland University: Gov Kefas Receives NUC Team By Lynn Adda The Taraba State Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas on Tuesday received officials of the National Universities Commission, NUC at the Government House in Jalingo, the state capital. The Officials were received by the Chief of Staff, Government House Administration, Dr Jeji William who represented the Governor. The NUC officials were in company of the members of the implementation committee of the recently approved Greenland University, Jalingo. The NUC team is in Taraba State to inspect facilities at the proposed Greenland University, Jalingo. The Implementation Committee of the Greenland University used the forum to brief the Governor on the overall objectives for the establishment of the university, part of which is to complement the good gesture of the Taraba State Government for the transformation of the educational sector including making education accessible and affordable. The National Universities Commission’s team was led by Barr. S. S. Adejoh while Prof Mustapha Baba Ibi of the Taraba State University, Jalingo led the GreenLand University Implementation Committee as its Chairman. Also present at the function were the Taraba State Commissioner for Science and Technology, Hon Muslim Aruwa, the Galadiman Muri, Alhaji Tukur Abba Tukur, the Chairman of Jalingo Local Government, Alhaji Aminu Jauro Hassan, the Permanent Secretary, Government House, Mr Ibrahim Yaboro, the representative of the Taraba State Commissioner of Police and other top government functionaries. The former Acting Governor of Taraba State, Alhaji Sani Abubakar Danladi is the founder of Greenland University Jalingo.
