ADAMAWA PROGRESSIVES ELDERS COUNCIL APPOINTS CHIEF JOEL MADAKI AS CHAIRMAN, CONTACT AND MOBILIZATION COMMITTEE

In a strategic move to bolster its grassroots engagement, the Adamawa Progressives Elders Council (APEC) has appointed Chief Joel H. Madaki as the Chairman of its Contact and Mobilization Committee.

The decision was unanimously ratified during a crucial stakeholders’ meeting held on Friday, January 17, 2026, at the Madugu Hotel in Dougirei Jimeta, Yola.

The high-level gathering brought together influential elders, political leaders, and key opinion molders from across Adamawa State.

Discussions focused on refining the Council’s strategic direction and preparing for upcoming political engagements, with emphasis on grassroots coordination, systematic stakeholder engagement and structured mobilization across all wards, local government areas, and senatorial districts.

Chief Madaki, a respected political figure and proponent of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope Agenda,” is expected to bring his extensive leadership experience and deep-rooted network to the role.

In his acceptance speech, Chief Madaki thanked the Council for its trust and pledged to pursue an agenda of inclusive leadership and unity of purpose.

He reaffirmed his commitment to advancing progressive politics anchored on good governance, peace, and sustainable development for Adamawa State.

The meeting concluded with a renewed resolve from APEC to uphold its role as a platform for political guidance, strategic engagement, and the promotion of the collective interests of Adamawa State.
