Yuletide: Tinubu Donates Trailer Load of 25kg Bags of Rice For PLWDs

The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu has put smiles on the faces of the less privileged persons, including people living with disabilities, PLWDs in Taraba State Northeast Nigeria to soften their hardships this festive season.

President Tinubu, our Correspondent gathered donated a trailer load of 25kg bags of rice for the beneficiaries, which cut across the widows, orphans, blind, deaf and dumb, the cripple and other less privileged persons in the State.
The gesture tagged, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Christmas Rice palliative initiative” was distributed by Senator Abubakar Sani Danladi who doubles as a member of TETfund, Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Addressing the beneficiaries who converged in their thousands at the C2C event centre in Jalingo, Senator Danladi enjoined them to receive the gesture from President Tinubu in good faith.

He advised them to live in peace and unity with one another and that they should be law-abiding.
“Don’t begin to cause problems because of your conditions, President Tinubu is also feeling your pains, he has you at his heart, and I also want to tell you to continue to pray for him and wish him well”, said Senator Danladi.
Speaking in an interview with journalists shortly, the chairman of Tinubu’s Christmas Rice palliative initiative Committee, Abdullahi A. Ibrahim said the gesture was a trailer load of 25kg bags of rice.

He said the beneficiaries were the less privileged persons across the State including the average man who cannot afford even one square meal on his table.
“We are trying to see that each person goes home with one bag of rice as agreed and approved by the committee”,
Ibrahim further called on the people of the State especially the beneficiaries to always be loyal to Governments at all levels, saying whatever either the federal, state or local government is doing is for the interest of the people.
He however, described Tinubu as a listening President who according to him, gives attention to the plights of the common man.
Also speaking in an interview, the Secretary of the Committee, Ambassador Rikwense Muri commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for putting smiles on the faces of the beneficiaries at this trying period.

Muri also lauded the sportsmanship of Senator Sani Abubakar Danladi for ensuring that the distribution was done under a peaceful atmosphere and in such a way that people got something very substantial.
“Everybody is going with 25kg bag of rice, this is a venture that we must appreciate Mr. President for, remembering us in Taraba State”,
“We also appreciate Senator Danladi and also thank Nigerians for believing in President Tinubu, we are believing God that President Tinubu in 2025 will usher in a new Nigeria that everyone will be proud of”, he said.
The secretary added that modalities were properly put in place for all the beneficiaries across the 16 LGAs to get theirs, saying each local government area has their own portion to be distributed.

On his part, Alh. Sadiq Mohammed Jalingo, Chairman of persons living with disabilities (pwd) in Taraba State who spoke on behalf of the beneficiaries, expressed happiness with President Tinubu, Senator Danladi and the Committee who made the exercise a success. He prayed God to bless them abundantly.
