WOWICAN Women Tragedy: Gov Kefas Mourns Accident Victims, Says it is Black Sunday

The Taraba State Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas has condoled with the families of those who lost their lives in the motor accident along Gembu road.

The Special Adviser on Media and Digital Communications to the Governor, Mr Emmanuel Bello in a Press Statement Sunday evening, said the news of the demise of six women from a car crash has reached the Governor.

 

“The governor immediately described the news as heartbreaking and devastating. He also swiftly condoled with the family of the victims, noting that it was a black Sunday for the state”.

 

Dr Kefas further said the circumstances of their death are regrettably tragic as they were returning from the women’s wing CAN Conference which ended yesterday in Gembu, Sardauna Local Government Area of Taraba state.

 

While praying for the repose of their souls, the Governor pledged his administration continuous commitment to safer roads, especially within areas that posed great threats to life.

 

The Special Adviser said Dr Kefas has already directed local government chairmen to maintain existing roads with proper traffic controls, signages, and basic repairs.

 

“Dr. Kefas said he would work hard to minimize the sad occurrences of road mishaps occasioned by bad roads in the state”.

 

Governor Kefas passionately condoled with the CAN leadership, WOWICAN ,and the entire Christian community in the state and the country at large.
