WACHEF, Action Aid Nigeria Train Taraba Communities on Participatory Methodology

Women and children Health Empowerment Foundation, WACHEF, in collaboration with Action Aid Nigeria organized a three day Participatory, methodology training for twelve communities of Yorro and Gashaka Local Governments Areas of Taraba states.
The Engagement which took place at the Star exclusive Hotel Jalingo was attended by the participating communities in Taraba state.
The three day training which brought together eight different communities of Yorro and four from Gashaka Local council areas of Taraba state is aimed at increasing the knowledge of the participating communities with hope of improving on the lives of the local communities through effective engagements and dialogue with Government on inclusion of communities in the scheme of Governance.
The goal of the training was put clear to the participants which was not to fight Government or any stakeholder but to complement the efforts of the Government towards accessibility and attract Government projects in their respective communities.
Methodology and participatory approach is the focus of the training as Resource persons from Action Aid, and WACHEF delivered their papers.
WACHEF in partnership with Action Aid Nigeria who are working to eradicate poverty through effective partnership and local right programmes in Taraba state.
This workshop is one of many in the series which is amed at transforming the lives of the locals.
Manager, Partnership and Local Rights Program, Action Aid Nigeria, Kehinde Arowosegbe spoke on the
Objectives of the projects which includes increase effectiveness, accountability and transparency.
Hajara Opaluwa Adamu is the Advisor, partnership and Local rights Program of Action Aid Nigeria and she spoke on the the vision and mission of the project, which includes a just, equitable and sustainable world in which every person enjoys the right to a life of dignity, freedom from poverty and all forms of oppressions and depression.
The Representative of the Women and Children Health Empowerment Foundation, WACHEF, Wisdom Christopher also spoke at the occasion.
Some of the participants admitted that is the first time in their lives to attend any transformation training and commended the organizers for the opportunity provided to them and promised to step down the knowledge to their localities for better lives at the grassroots level.
