VC ADSU MUBI COMMENDS GOV FINTIRI ON THIRD NATIONAL EXCELLENCE AWARD

The Vice Chancellor of Adamawa State University, Mubi (ADSU), Professor Augustine Clement, has lauded Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his sustained commitment to transforming Adamawa State through people-centered development initiatives across multiple sectors.

Professor Clement gave the commendation in a statement emanated from Mass Communication Students Forum (ADSU) following Governor Fintiri’s recognition for the third consecutive year by the Nigeria Excellence Awards in Public Service (NEAPS) for his remarkable contributions to state and national development.
The prestigious Presidential Award for Excellence in Governance was presented to Governor Fintiri on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, presided over the ceremony.
During the event, President Tinubu, through his representative, commended all award recipients for their dedication to national progress and the transformative impact of their work in their respective domains.
According to the award organisers, Governor Fintiri was selected for his exemplary leadership, visionary governance, and unwavering commitment to public service.
His achievements in urban infrastructure renewal, education, healthcare development, and economic advancement were cited as key reasons for his recognition.
The organisers further applauded Governor Fintiri’s continued efforts in promoting peace, unity, and social cohesion across Adamawa State, describing him as a leader whose positive influence extends far beyond the state.
In his congratulatory message, Professor Clement said the third consecutive award serves as a testament to the governor’s impactful and transformative leadership.
“Governor Fintiri’s consistent recognition at the national level is a clear validation of his administration’s focused and inclusive governance model, which has positively touched every sector in Adamawa State. This award is not just a personal honour for His Excellency but a collective pride for our state,” the Vice Chancellor stated.
He expressed optimism that the recognition would further motivate the state government to deepen its developmental strides for the benefit of all residents.
