Under Kefas, Insecurity has reduced in Taraba – Rev. Dopah

Rev. (Dr.) Philip Micah Dopah, Chairman TEKAN/ECWA bloc of the Taraba State Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has said security situation across Taraba State has greatly improved under the administration of Governor Agbu Kefas.
Dopah, who spoke exclusively with our Correspondent in Jalingo said, as a leader of a Christian community and Yorro land in particular, the issue of insecurity has drastically reduced, attributing same to the efforts of Governor Agbu Kefas in alliance with security agencies in the State.
The Clergy said, between January, February and March 2024, the people of Yorro local government area never slept in their houses, “our members being kidnapped here and there, our mountains being taken over by terrorists”,
“But by the special grace of God, with the efforts of Governor Agbu Kefas and the security operatives, the cases of insecurity have reduced. Even when I visited the Governor last month, I commended him and told him that the security situation in our community is calm now”,
“Our people can now sleep with their two eyes closed, and they have resumed their farming activities”,
“Definitely, there is great improvement on the issues of security challenges across the State”, said Rev. Dopah.
The man of God further disclosed that improvement on the areas of insecurity has not been experienced in Yorro local government alone but other parts of the State.
Rev. Dopah added that Governor Kefas has carried the people of the State along irrespective of their religious, tribal and political affiliations.
According to the man of God, just recently, the Governor released funds for the Muslim Pilgrims to travel to Mecca for their Hajj operation saying same would be done for the Christians whose preparations for pilgrimage to Israel are around the corner.
“The free Education policy the Governor has declared in the State is another thing to reckon with, as leaders in the State, we are calling for prayers and support from the people of the State, to enable the Governor to succeed”,
“Without unity, cooperation, enabling environment, we will not enjoy the dividends of democracy”,
“All hands must be on deck to support the Governor and stand by him prayerfully for him to succeed, his success is the success of the entire land”, he added.
