Mr. Dame made the remarks shortly after Governor Agbu Kefas inaugurated the committee at the TY Danjuma House in Jalingo.
He expressed strong optimism that the committee would deliver on its mandate effectively, noting that the government has full confidence in their ability to ensure transparency, fairness, and dedication in the execution of their responsibilities.
“The government is confident that this committee will carry out its work with diligence and ensure that the TIFFO mandate is fully realized,” he said.
Mr. Dame also spoke on the recently inaugurated Judicial Commission of Inquiry into the Karim-Lamido crisis.
He emphasized that the commission will thoroughly investigate those behind the unrest, warning that any traditional ruler found complicit would not be spared.
“If any traditional ruler is found to be involved, they will be removed. We urge traditional leaders to desist from harboring individuals with questionable characters and to always verify the identity and background of any stranger entering their domain,” he said.
He stressed that the safety and well-being of every citizen remains a top priority of the government, adding that peace is the bedrock of every meaningful development.
