There is only one leadership of Pensioners in Taraba State – Mamudu Yaro

The leadership of the Nigeria Union of Pensioners in Taraba State says it has only one Union and Leadership, headed by Alhaji Mamudu F. Yaro as the State Chairman.
This clarification is contained in a Press Release signed by the Chairman, Alhaji Mamudu F. Yaro, a copy of which was made available to echo express in Jalingo, the state capital.
He stressed that his leadership is the only one recognized by the National Secretariat of the Union, the Taraba State Government and the stakeholders.
According to him, the clarification is also necessary to draw the attention of social media promoters and operators to ensure that they are not misled by mischief makers to promote impersonators or imposters, parading themselves as leaders of the Nigeria Union of Pensioners in the state.
He said his leadership is not engaged in any activity against the Governor of Taraba State, Dr Agbu Kefas to gain cheap publicity, saying the Governor has been responsive and responsible to the plight of Pensioners, requiring no reminder from the Union or any individual to carry out his welfare policies and programmes for the Pensioners.
Alhaji Mamudu Yaro said since his assumption of office, the Governor has been paying gratuities and other entitlements without negotiations, demonstrations or reminders from the Pensioners.
He said even the Pensioners who were abandoned by the previous administrations, including local government Pensioners, were captured and payrolled by the present government with the support of those he described as active, well informed and responsive technocrats, saying there is a move by government to review upward the monthly pension to tally with the New Minimum Wage.
The Chairman rhetorically asked, ” all media content promoters of mischief, where were they when Dr Agbu Kefas and the technocrats were dishing out these goodies to the Pensioners?
Mr Mamudu Yaro who noted that the present State officials who he is leading, is operating within the ambit of the law, warning that any impersonator, usurper and mischief maker should be considered as a criminal and be treated as such.
