Television Broadcasting: Taraba Television Receives Legacy Builders Award

The Christian Broadcasting Network, CBN says the critical and important role play by Taraba Television Corporation in the dissemination of its rich Programme contents to millions of viewers across Africa and beyond cannot be overemphasize.
The Africa Anglophone Regional Director, Mr Philip Osamogie stated this during a dinner and award night organized to recognized partner media stations.
The global charitable organization, Christian Broadcasting Network CBN was founded in 1960 and Nigeria, CBN has developed Television and Radio contents which includes, the 700 Clubs Nigeria, One Cubed Naira, Heart to Heart, Living the Lives, Super Book and You Were There among others.
Speaking on the theme, the role of God in leadership for nation building, the Regional Director, Christian Broadcasting Network Africa Anglophone, Dr Philip Osamogie said the symposium organized to celebrate partners also serve as a platform for progressive dialogue and collaboration among leaders from diverse backgrounds and sectors.
According to him, the symposium also underscores the contributing impact to national discourses, emphasising that the cardinal objectives of the network is to inculcate sound and moral religious doctrines in leaders according to God’s will.
He said Taraba Television Corporation and other partner media organizations have been a partner in progress which has gone along way in projecting the rich educational and spiritual contents of the Christian Broadcasting Network, CBN, adding that as it celebrate three decades of broadcasting, the organization is looking forward to more areas of fruitful collaborations in reaching out to more viewers and listeners.
In his keynote address, the former Minister of Information and National orientation, Professor Jerry Gana said leaders must be fully prepared for the task of governance, advocating for passionate leaders with character, wisdom, competence and integrity to promote good governance.
There were also goodwill messages by guest speakers who shared their insights and experiences in moulding Godly leadership which they said include the fear of God and the determination to serve and not to be served.
The event culminated with a dinner and awards to celebrate partners for their contributions to the network’s ministration and impact.
Taraba Television Corporation was fully represented at the Abuja Symposium and award night by the Deputy Director programmes, Mr Irakunyang Ezekiel Tapu, who received the prestigious award on behalf of the General Manager, Engineer,Jonah Pantuvo.

Speaking in an exclusive interview in his office, the General Manager of the Taraba Television Corporation, Engineer Jonah Pantuvo said the recognition is as a result of the collective efforts of the dedicated staff of the Television station.
He said he has worked tirelessly with the support of the Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas, the Commissioner for Information and Reorientation, Hajia Zainab Usman Jalingo, management and staff, saying he was able to record some remarkable achievements through the repositioning of the station for better delivery of services to its teeming viewers.
Engineer Jonah Pantuvo lauded his predecessor for laying a solid foundation which made it easy for him to build on, emphasizing that Taraba Television Corporation is a household name not only in the north east but globally because the station is on satellite.
He reiterated his commitment to continue to partner with relevant organizations to satisfy the needs of its clients and viewers, thanking the Christian Broadcasting Network CBN for the award which he said will spur them to greater heights.
