Taraba: Takum Youth Leader Reacts To Rumour Of Demolition of Mosque

The Hausa Youth Leader commonly referred to as Sarkin Matasa Hausa in Takum Local Government area of Taraba State, Yahaya Mohammed has reacted to a recent media report alleging that the Takum Central Mosque has been marked for demolition.

In a Press Statement, the Youth Leader who was addressing the concerns raised by the Kuteb Yatso Nigeria, KYN stressed that there is a strong understanding between the Muslim Community in Takum and the Taraba State Government led by Governor Agbu Kefas, saying the Governor’s commitment to unity and progress in Taraba State remains steadfast.
“It is crucial to clarify that any demolition undertaken is aimed at promoting the development and welfare of our Muslim brothers and sisters in Takum and beyond. This initiative has been positively received by our community.
“I urge the KYN not to exploit this situation for their own agendas, as it could distract our Muslim community in Takum”.
To the Muslim brothers and sisters across Nigeria, particularly in Taraba and Takum Local Government Area, Yahaya Mohammed encouraged them to disregard what he described as any baseless rumours.
While urging the people to trust Governor Kefas administration’s dedication to supporting the Muslim Community in Takum and Taraba State as a whole, he equally asked Tarabans to continue to support and pray for the Governor as he works tirelessly to build a better Taraba for all.
“We, the people of Takum, stand united in our quest for progress and development. As the Muslim Youth leader, I want to first recognize our supreme leader of Islamic affairs, Alhaji Hudu Ismail Madugu Sarkin Hausawa Takum. We pledge our agreement to his guidance and the directives he provides from the government, reinforcing our unity and purpose.
“We extend our gratitude to General TY Danjuma for his philanthropic efforts in Taraba State, particularly in healthcare and education. We appreciate his commitment to positive change and generosity in addressing our community’s challenges.
“Additionally, we express our loyalty to His Majesty Bar Sopiya Ahmadu Gboshi III, the First Class Chief of Takum, for his leadership and guidance. We are thankful for his dedication to the well-being and progress of our community”.
