A 5-Day training and mentorship in Reflective Structured Dialogue (RSD) was conducted by the NEEM Foundation in Jalingo, the Taraba State capital as a deliberate step to build capacity and competence towards the implementation of the Taraba State Peace Bureau’s 5-Year Peace plan for Taraba State.

The NEEM Foundation in partnership with GIZ conducted the training to raise and equip facilitators in RSD model for peace advocacy and dialogue for strategic community engagement in Taraba State.
The objectives of the training and mentorship was to develop capacity and skills as well as to raise facilitators who are to be deployed immediately to different communities in the state to strengthen grassroots peace dialogue.

Participants were drawn from different peace agencies in the state, members of the Taraba State Bureau For Peace and Conflict Management and other appointees of Dr Agbu Kefas’ administration working in peace and Conflict management.
As an outcome of this training programme, three highly skilled advocacy and dialogue groups were deployed to the three senatorial districts of Taraba state to begin engaging communities and to strengthen community dialogue throughout the state.
Speaking at the training session, the Chairman of the Bureau, Bishop Innocent Solomon reiterated the commitment of the Taraba State Government under Governor Agbu Kefas to in tackle conflicts in the state and ensure peaceful coexistence across communities for meaningful development to thrive in the state.

Certificates of training and participation were presented to participants at the end of the training, which was held at the Star Exclusive Annex, along the Sani Abatcha State Secretariat in Jalingo.
