Taraba Sports Council Partners with MAS Foundation For Netball Training
By Henry Agbu
The Taraba State Sports Council, in partnership with MAS Foundation, recently organized a ten-day non-residential netball training program for primary and secondary school students in Jalingo, the state capital.

The event, powered by the CSED initiative, attracted 40 participants, who were taught the fundamental skills of netball by coaches Freeman Njeta, Godwin, and Falin Dauda, supported by three other experienced netball coaches.
This initiative, spearheaded by the Taraba State Netball Association, aims to provide children and youths with opportunities to play netball beyond the school environment and to engage them in pro-social activities during school holidays.

To facilitate the program, the Taraba State Sports Council provided transportation for the students to the Jolly Nyame Stadium, the venue for the training sessions.
Students from GSS Nyamusala, Howai GSS, and Magami GSS Jalingo actively participated in the program, gaining valuable skills and experience in the sport.
