Taraba: Robbers Attack Lapo Community Along ATC Bypass in Ardo-Kola LGA
By Henry Agbu
Residents of Lapo community, situated along the ATC Bypass in Ardo-Kola Local Government Area of Taraba State, have been left traumatized after an armed robbery attack that occurred in the early hours of Monday between 1:00 AM and 2:00 AM.

According to eyewitness accounts, about 30 heavily armed assailants stormed the community, moving from house to house in a coordinated operation that left residents, including students, helpless and terrified.
The robbers reportedly carted away numerous valuables, including cash, mobile phones, electronics and other personal belongings.
The attacks resulted in at least seven individuals sustaining serious injuries and are currently receiving treatment at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Jalingo.
Our Correspondent reports that this is not the first time the Lapo community has experienced such violent raids.
Residents say the area has become increasingly vulnerable, with security presence either minimal or nonexistent during critical hours.
In the wake of the latest incident, the community is calling on Dr. Agbu Kefas, Governor of Taraba State and all relevant security agencies to urgently intervene and devise lasting security measures to prevent a recurrence.
With fear and uncertainty now hanging over the community, swift and decisive government action is deemed essential to restore peace, ensure protection of lives and property, and reassure residents and students living in the area.
However, as at the time of this report, the Taraba State Police Command was yet to make any statement on the matter.
