Taraba Press Week: Journalists tasks on active participation

Journalists practicing in Taraba State have been charged to participate fully and actively in the ongoing 2025 Press Week organized by the Nigeria Union of Journalists, (NUJ) Taraba State Council.
Briefing Journalists on the lineup of activities for the event, the Central Planning Committee Chairman, Comrade Adamu Also stated that, the Press week commenced since Friday last week with Juma’at prayers held at the Government House Mosque, followed by a thanksgiving service which took place at Supreme King’s church, Road Block Jalingo, respectively.
He stated further that, the Press Conference was also part of activities marking the event including Medical Eye screening and a Novelty football match between the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) and Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) slated for 15th April, 2025.
The CPC Chair alongside other members however, expressed concern on the low turnout of members during the Press Week activities and appealed for active participation to make a colorful and successful even as he expressed unwavering commitment of the CPC as well as the NUJ State Council Leadership towards ensuring the success of the event.
Earlier in his goodwill message, the NUJ Taraba State Council Chairman, Comr. Eliud Matthew Jen, appreciated the CPC for working round the clock to ensure the success of the Press week despite the challenging financial state of the Union.
He equally, thanked members for their individual contributions and supports to the event and sued for more commitment and active participation especially in the remaining activities.
