Taraba Peace Bureau Holds Inaugural Meeting, Pledges To Work With Gov Kefas’s Peace Vision

The Taraba State Bureau for Peace and Conflict Management recently inaugurated by the Taraba State Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas on Friday held its inaugural meeting.
The meeting which was held at the I S Foundation For World Peace, located at the Abuja phase 2 Jalingo in the state capital, was chaired by Chairman of the Bureau, Rt Rev (Dr) Innocent Rubiruka Solomon.
Addressing the meeting, the Chairman congratulated members for their appointment by Governor Agbu Kefas, charging them to demonstrate vision, commitment and dedication to justify the trust and opportunity given to them by the Kefas led administration to serve the state.

Rev Innocent Solomon recalled the speech of the Governor during the inauguration of Boards, SAs, SSAs and CSAs where he told them that government expects them to function with utmost sense of responsibility, integrity of heart and dedication to duty.
He stressed that the Kefas led administration is poised to serve, build and uplift Tarabans with peace and progress as the critical components.
He therefore used the forum to appeal to Tarabans to promote the spirit of peace and harmonious living among themselves to provide the Governor with the needed atmosphere for rapid development across the state.
Echo Express reports that the meeting discussed many issues, including developing a comprehensive and strategic action plan for peace building and conflict management in Taraba State.
Others are networking with Local Government Administrations, Civil Society Organizations, Non Governmental Organisations, Religious organizations, peace building Institutions and experts in the peace industry to prosecute the Governor’s peace agenda for in Taraba State.
