Taraba PDP boss warns social media peddlers against critics of govt policies

The Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Taraba State, Alhaji Abubakar Bawa has warned social media peddlers to deviate from unnecessary criticisms of the State Government’s policies.

Bawa who, accused the social media peddlers and their sponsors of enforcing fake news in their criticisms, advised that they should be constructive in nature.
Bawa was speaking on the occasion of the turbaning ceremony of the Personnel Assistant (P.A.) to Governor Agbu Kefas on Political Matters and Administration, Barrister Luka Agbu.
The Chairman, who said the effect of fake news in any given society can be disastrous, added that the peddlers should exercise restraint for peaceful coexistence of the people.
He emphasized that the good works of Governor Kefas cannot in any way be altered, stressing that the people of the State are strongly behind the Governor’s moving forward agenda.
“Governor Kefas will not in any way be deterred from doing the good works for the people and he is aware that the people are strongly behind his moving forward agenda”, said Bawa.
Bawa however, stressed the importance of peace and encouraged the people of the State to do everything possible to maintain it.
He lauded the developmental strides and all inclusive governance policy of Dr. Agbu Kefas, calling on the people to continue giving him their maximum support.
Abubakar Bawa also congratulated the celebrant on his traditional title and further commended him on his high sense of humility and peaceful disposition, describing same as the reason behind his elevations.
In a remark, the celebrant, Barrister Luka Agbu appreciated the State Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas, the traditional council and the entire people of the state for the gesture.
While pledging to justify the confidence reposed in him to serve, Luka also called on the people to cooperate with the Governor, support him to succeed, saying he meant well for them.
Our Correspondent gathered that Bar. Agbu was turbaned as Jakadan Jalingo District by the District Head of Jalingo, His Highness Alhaji (Dr.) Tukur Abba Tukur, the Galadima Muri at an event held at Afolahan Square, Jalingo.
