Taraba: NYSC Coordinator Charges Corps Members to be Architects of Positive Change

By Kator Terseer, Jalingo

The Taraba State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Mr. Ella Aji Williams, this Tuesday admonished corps members serving in the state to be architects of positive change in the country.

Williams made this call during the closing ceremony of the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream 1 orientation course held in Arodo-Kola Local Government Area of the state.

According to Williams, corps members have a crucial role to play in shaping the future and emphasized the importance of corps members prioritizing their safety during their service year.

“As corps members, you are ambassadors of the country and should strive to make a positive impact in the communities you serve.

“Avoid adventures that can compromise your safety and security. Your safety is paramount, and you should take all necessary precautions to ensure that you remain safe throughout your service year.

“Relate freely with your host communities and be sensitive to their needs and concerns, by doing so, you will be able to make a meaningful contribution to the development of the communities and the country at large,” he advised.

He also encouraged them to take advantage of the skills acquisition programs offered by the NYSC to enhance their employability and entrepreneurial skills.

Williams thanking Governor Agbu Kefas for his timely support to the NYSC, he equally acknowledged the governor’s commitment to the success of the scheme in the state.
