Taraba National Assembly lawmaker, Useni urges constituents to support President Tinubu
“executes over 88 projects”

Taraba State National Assembly lawmaker, Rt. Hon. Mark Bako Useni has called on the people of Takum, Ussa and Donga Federal Constituency to continue to support the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The lawmaker, who is the incumbent member representing Takum, Ussa and Donga Federal Constituency, expressed confidence that continuous support to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration would help attract more dividends of democracy to the region.
Rt. Hon. Useni, who was a former Speaker of the Taraba State House of Assembly made the call during a media parley held at Takum, headquarters of Takum local government area of the State.
Our Correspondent reports that the lawmaker was in Takum where he provided updates on his legislative contributions and development initiatives across the three local government areas he represents at the National Assembly.
“We must keep aligning with the centre if we want to benefit more. I’m doing my part, but your support for the President strengthens my hand in lobbying for more developmental projects,” he stated.
Rt. Hon. Mark Bako Useni further disclosed that he has sponsored about 10 bills and executed over 88 projects for his constituency since his election two years ago.
Useni mentioned the key bills he personally sponsored as; Electoral Act (Amendment) Bill, 2023, Federal University Teaching Hospital, Wukari (Establishment) Bill, 2023), Agricultural Council Act (Amendment) Bill , 2023 for the establishment of the Federal College of Fisheries and Aquatic Science in Kashimbilla, Takum Local Government Area of the State.
Others are according to him were; National Park Service Act (Amendment) Bill, 2024, Federal University of Wukari (Establishment) Bill, 2024, National Senior Secondary Education Commission Act (Amendment) Bill. 2024, and National Mathematical Centre Act (Repeal and Re-enactment) Bill, 2024.

“In addition to the bills I personally sponsored, me and some of my colleagues have jointly sponsored several notable legislative proposals”,
“Those proposals include, A Constitutional amendment bill to set time-frames for the adjudication of civil and criminal cases at Trial and Appellate Courts (HB 616)”,
“Other co-sponsored Bills are; A bill for the establishment of gifted talented centres across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones, including one in Takum, Constitution Alteration Bill, 2024 addressing structural reforms”, he stated.
Speaking on infrastructural developments spread across the 3 local government areas of Takum, Ussa and Donga that made up the federal constituency, Useni revealed that over 88 constituency projects have either been completed or are ongoing in those areas.
He also explained that those projects range from construction of classroom blocks to the provision of educational materials for schools across the 3 LGAs.
The All Progressive Congress (APC) lawmaker, who explained that some projects have been fully implemented in those areas however, noted that others are still ongoing, and reiterated his commitment to ensuring their completion.
