TARABA: LAU COUNCIL CHAIR SWEARS – IN CABINET MEMBERS

The Chairman of Lau Local Government Council, Taraba State, Hon. Nigeria Silemma Jatau, has called on the newly appointed Chief of Staff, Supervisory Councilors and the Special Assistants to be selfless and dedicated to duties in service to Lau Local Government Area.
The Council Chairman made this call while swearing-in members of his cabinet on Saturday, May 11, at the chamber of the legislative council in Lau, the administrative headquarters.
The council boss, who was represented at the inauguration by the Vice Chairman Hon. Ahmed Bakari, charged all the appointees to focus on delivering meaningful governance to the people.
He enjoined them to bring their wealth of experience to bear in the operations of the present administration to justify the trust and the confidence reposed in them.
“First and foremost let me congratulate the newly sworn – in supervisory councilors, Chief of staff and other appointees of the Local Government. You have been carefully selected and given this responsibilities because of grace not because you are the most qualified individuals. I call on you to bring your wealth of experience in collaboration with the present administration to justify the trust and confidence reposed in you”.
“However, today you have been sworn – in as leaders to coordinate the policies and programmes of the present administration of His Excellency, the Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas. So i urged you to strongly support all the policies of both the Local and the State Governments”
Recall that before their swearing-in on Saturday, all the appointees were screened by the legislative council, a move, the Leader of the Council said was to checkmate the appointees to bring out the best.
The Supervisory councilors that took the oath of office include
Adamu Danladi Health, Elkanna D. Malan Admin & Finance, Yemila Edward Agric & Natural Resources, Ishaku Eli Budget & Planning, Rooney Linus Social Development, Sule Maina Education, Clarkson A. Nariniba Works.
Also sworn – in were Maran Dabale, Chief of staff, with Abraham Bala Agric & Natural Resources, Sardauna Yohanna Clubs & Associations, Hamman Adama Bello Revenue, Jerry Samuel Media, Aliyu A Saidu Agricultural Matters, Francis Bariya Special Duties, Kahusibe B. Banti Health Matters, Rachael Sunday Youth & Sport, Alpha Nanka Political, Ishaka Sule Education, Mediel K. Barde I.C.T, and Azon Wuyori Security matters as the Special Assistants (SAs).
Present at the occasion were the former commissioner of works, Taraba State, Hon. Irimiya Ibrahim Hamman Julde, commissioner 1, civil service commission, Hon. Philip Kundila, together with some PDP stakeholders. Others were Vice chairmen of Jalingo and Wukari Local Governments alongside leader of Jalingo legislative council and his Karim Lamido counterpart.
Speaking to journalists shortly after the occasion, Hon. Irimiya Ibrahim Hamman julde, thanked the Local Government Chairman and commended Dr. Agbu Kefas for his developmental strides in the state.
He admonished those that were appointed to work for the betterment of Lau, and the state at large.
