Taraba Judiciary: JSC Appoints Acting Registrar, Others
– Constitutes Promotion/Disciplinary Committee

At its 124th meeting held on Friday, 16th April 2025 under the Chairmanship of Justice Joel Filibus Agya, the Chief Judge of Taraba State and Chairman, Judicial Service Commission, approved the appointment of some key officials for the state Judiciary.

A Press Release signed by Barr. Talatu Abubakar Jen, Secretary of the Taraba State Judicial Service Commission, JSC announced the appointment of Christian Jonah as the Acting Chief Registrar of the Customary Court of Appeal.
The Release also announced the appointment of Absolom Peter Jen as the Acting Deputy Chief Registrar of the Customary Court of Appeal.
Others include Nadunya B. Gamiya:as Acting Director Audit, High Court of Justice and Peter Inusa Ngai as Acting Director Personnel Management, Customary Court of Appeal.
At the meeting, the JSC equally approved the constitution of a Promotion/Disciplinary Committee.
According to the Release, the Committee is to be Chaired by a retired High Court, Hon. Justice Emmanuel A.Garba.
Other Members of the Committee are Hon. Barr. Musa A. Tende, Hon. Adamu Sani Kona and Barr. Talatu Abubakar Jen While Mr. Yakubu A. Shadrach is to serve as the Secretary of the Committee.
The Commission also approved the promotion of 541 staff of the Taraba State judiciary to various positions.
