Taraba Health Services Management Board Partners Head of Service For Efficiency

The Taraba State Health Services Management Board has sought for partnership and collaboration with the office of the Taraba State Head of the Civil seyrvice for effective service delivery.

The Executive Secretary of the board, Dr Garba Danjuma stated this at a courtesy visit to the Head of the Civil Service in his office in Jalingo.

Management staff of the Taraba State Health Services Management Board, led by the the Executive Secretary, Dr Garba Danjuma congratulated the Head of the Civil Service, Dr Hamidu Ahmed Kara on his appointment as the State head of the civil service.


The ES described the appointment as well deserved based on his experience in various sectors of the service and hope for more reforms and innovations that will make the service more efficient and effective.

Dr.Danjuma solicit collaboration with the office of the Head of the civil service in areas of personnel training and capacity building for effective manning of the various health care service facilities across the state.


He said also key are welfare and other incentive packages that will sustain the interest of the personnel on the task they are saddled with.

Responding, the Head of the Taraba State Civil Service, Dr Hamidu Ahmed Kara thanked the board whom he said was his home and commended its transformation agenda within the shortest period that Dr. Danjuma took over as the Executive secretary.

The Head of Service adjudged training and capacity building for all civil servants in the state as the best way for maximum service delivery, promising to accord special training for health personnel.

Dr. Kara was quick to emphasized that any civil servant going for study must follow due process for its implementation at the end of his or her study.


Meanwhile, the Secretary to the Government of Taraba State, Chief Gebon Timothy Kataps who briefly interacted with the Management of the Health Services Management Board, encouraged workers to keep to the rules of engagement to sanitize the system for transparency, stressing that employment must not be based on who you know but merit.
