Taraba Govt To Host Investment Summit, Sets Up Committee

The Taraba State Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas has approved the constitution of a 13 member Committee for the organization of a Taraba State Investment Summit.

The Committee which is to be chaired by Rt Hon Ndudi Elumelu has APCO as lead Consultants to liaise with the European Union, foreign investors and the diplomatic committee.
This information which is contained in a Press Release signed by the Secretary to the Government of Taraba State, Chief Gebon Timothy Kataps indicates that Mrs Jackline Yawa is the Vice Chairman of the Committee.
Other members of Committee according to the Release are Senator Haruna Manu, Dr Unuoha Nnaji, Chief Chris Okoye, Prince Tita Ngalam, Hon Jerry Damara, Amb Abam Mfawa, Mrs Ejiro Jakpa and Miss Ngoziechukwuka.
Others are Engr Alex T. Onuegbu, Her Excellency, Hauwa Suntai, Hon Danladi Baido Tijos, Reuben Kifasi, Michael Magaji and Dr Joel Ebute who will serve as the Secretary of the Committee while Barr Nierus Johnson will be the Assistant Secretary.
In the meantime, Governor Agbu Kefas has also approved the constitution of the membership of the Local Organizing Committee, LOC for the Summit with Hon Jethro Zikengyu Yakubu as the Chairman while Hon Kabiru Jalo is the Vice Chairman.
Other members are the Commissioners for Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, Energy and Economic Development, Secondary and Basic Education, Agriculture and Food Security,, Commerce, Trade and Industry and the Commissioner for Waste Management and Innovation.
Also included in the Local Organizing Committee are the Commissioners for Information and Reorientation, Digital Economy, Science and Technology and Heritage and Eco-tourism.
Other members of the Committee are the Permanent Secretary, Bureau for Solid Minerals, Permanent Secretary, Budget, the Managing Directors of TAWASCO, Mambilla Beverages Nigeria Limited and Rom Oil Limited, ALGON Chairman, Surv Maaku Joshua, PhD, Jonah Bitrus Habu, Rt Hon Joseph Alkinjo Albasu Kunini, Geoffrey Tafida, PPS to Governor Agbu Kefas will serve as the Secretary while Barr Zainab Kishimi is the Assistant Secretary.
According to the Press Release by the Secretary to the Government of Taraba State, Chief Gebon Timothy Kataps, the two Committees will be Inaugurated on Friday, 11th April 2025 at the Exco Chamber, TY Danjuma House, Jalingo by 3 O’clock in the afternoon.
