Taraba Gov’s Media Aide Charges Journalists On Professionalism

Journalists have been charged to stick to professionalism in their reportage.

Special Adviser to Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State on Media and Digital Communications, Mr Emmanuel Bello gave the charge when elected officials of the Correspondents Chapel paid him a courtesy visit.
He thanked the newly elected Excos of the Correspondents Chapel for the visit and expressed confidence in their capability
Emmanuel Bello said the relationship between government and the media is cordial and would continue to be so for the good of the state.
He urged them to discharge their duty without bias and informed them that Governor Agbu Kefas is committed to bettering the lots of the state, adding that infrastructure will be upgraded among others.
The Chairman of the Correspondents Chapel, Gabriel Yough who was reelected recently, said they were in the SA’s office to introduce the Exco to him and inform him about their lineup of activities.
Gabriel reiterated their readiness to actively cover the state in their reportage.
He said they will be engaging political leaders in their various offices to tell the people what they are doing with their mandate.
He expressed readiness to collaborate with the state government in the area of adequate publicity.
The officials also visited the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Yusuf Sanda, and equally introduced the Exco to him.
They solicited the support and cooperation of the CPS to enable them to contribute effectively to the development of the state and added that their operations are aimed at supporting the people of the state.
The Chief Press Secretary, Yusuf Sanda, congratulated the new Exco on their elections.
The CPS said his office has enjoyed a cordial working relationship with the Correspondents Chapel and said the Kefas’ administration is media-friendly.
He urged them to continue to portray the Government in a positive light.
