Taraba Gov’s Aide Moves To Address Recurring Potholes At FMC Jalingo Junction

Commuters plying the road leading to the Federal Medical Center, FMC in Jalingo, the Taraba State Capital will now have a sight of relief following the intervention of Barr Great Luka Agbu, Personal Assistant to the Taraba State Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas.
The Jalingo Federal Medical Center junction has always been a nightmare to commuters who ply the road due to the deplorable condition of a portion of the road, especially whenever it rains.
The particular portion of the road has defied several efforts by concerned individuals to find a permanent solution to the recurring potholes.

But in the spirit of the special occasion to commemorate this year’s Eid-el Maulud, a significant day in the Muslim calendar, the Personal Assistant to the Taraba state Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas, Barrister Great Luka Agbu decided to rehabilitate the bad portion of the road as he join the Muslim Ummah to celebrate the Maulud.
Represented by the Secretary of Dr Agbu Kefas support project, Hon Aminu Kasumu, the Personal Assistant said the gesture is in respect of the birth of the Holy prophet Mohammad, peace be upon him, emphasizing that the rehabilitation work is to ease the suffering of commuters especially the sick patients.
He said he has been observing with great concerns how commuters especially riders of tricycle, popularly known as Keke Napep battle through the bad portions of the road daily while conveying sick patients to the hospital as well as the constant accidents.
He commended his boss, the Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas for impacting positively in his life to embrace everybody irrespective of tribe, religion or political affiliation, assuring that he will always complement the tireless efforts of the Governor as he seeks to build a state where every indigene would be proud to call home.
Also speaking, the Jalingo Chapter Chairman of the Agbu Kefas support project, Mohammed Nasiru Usman said the rehabilitation work by the Personal Assistant is first of its kind in Jalingo and lauded the vision of the P.A, which he saying the portion has been given commuters sleepless nights.
He said for chosen a very significant and special day in the Muslim calendar which is birthday of the Holy prophet, Mohammed, the personal Assistant has demonstrated the qualities of a great leader, pointing out that the Personal Assistant has greatly learned from his boss, Governor Agbu Kefas.
Others who spoke at the site, thanked the Personal Assistant for rehabilitating the bad portion of the road, while praying for God to bless Governor Agbu Kefas for appointing him as his personal Aide.
They assured of their continued support to the Kefas led administration for embarking on people oriented projects that have direct bearing on the lives of the citizens in the state.
