Taraba Gov, Wife Mourn Death of Gen. Lagbaja

The Taraba State Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas, has described the death of the Chief of Army Staff, COAS, Lt. General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja, as a terrible development and a sad one.

In a Press Statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Digital Communications, Mr Emmanuel Bello, the Governor said the death is a personal one to him given his unique relationship with the late COAS.
He said his death is unfortunate, especially now that the military expertise of General Lagbaja is needed, describing the late COAS as a dedicated worker who gave himself to the duty at hand.
A very principled man, Dr Kefas, said Lagbaja remains a model of discipline, honesty and transparency.

In further tributes, Dr Kefas, noted that late Lagbaja was an encyclopedia of military knowledge.
According to him, in a very short time, General Lagbaja was able to strengthen professionalism in the operations of the military.
Meanwhile, Dr Kefas has condoled with the immediate family of the late COAS, the military establishment and the country in general.
In the meantime, the Wife of the Taraba State Governor, Mrs. Agyin Agbu Kefas, has also mourned the demise of Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja.

“His loss is felt not only by the military but by every Nigerian who benefited from his selfless service.
“Her Excellency joins millions of Nigerians in mourning this great leader and offers her deepest sympathies to Lt. Gen. Lagbaja’s family, friends, and colleagues”.
She prayed that they find strength and solace in the legacy he left behind, and that his service will continue to inspire current and future generations in the pursuit of a more secured and united Nigeria.
