Taraba Gov Swears in Dr Kara As New Head of Service

The Governor of Taraba State, Agbu Kefas has sworn in Dr. Hamidu Ahmed as the new Head of Service for the State.

The ceremony took place at the Executive Council Chamber of TY Danjuma House in Jalingo, the state capital.

During the swearing-in ceremony, Governor Kefas emphasized that the event aligns with his administration’s commitment to strengthening the civil service.

He reiterated his government’s high regard for the civil service, urging the new Head of Service to introduce innovative strategies to enhance the system.

The governor tasked Dr. Ahmed Kara to ensure an efficient and results-oriented workforce.

He stressed that promotions and other benefits should be strictly merit-based, warning that any system that fails to reward excellence would not thrive under his administration.

Governor Kefas further emphasized that the civil service must consistently uphold its responsibilities, stating that going forward, his administration would demand results, not excuses.

He noted that Dr. Ahmed Kara’s appointment was based on his proven track record of excellence and service.

In his acceptance speech, Dr. Ahmed Kara expressed profound gratitude to Governor Kefas for the appointment.

He pledged to strengthen the workforce and prioritize staff training and welfare.

He also assured the governor of his unwavering commitment to the state’s progress, urging civil servants to demonstrate dedication to their duties.

Dr. kara highlighted the importance of promoting the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to drive efficiency in the civil service.
