Taraba Gov Speaks on Partnership with CCECC, Progress on Danbaba Suntai Airport

The Taraba State Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas has offered explanations on efforts being made by his administration to develop the Master Plan of the State and his key partnerships to drive the transformation of Taraba State.
The Governor made the explanations in a Public Statement to the citizens following his recent visit to China.
“I am pleased to update you on the positive outcome of my recent visit to Beijing, China, where I held a productive meeting with the President of the China Civil Engineering Construction Company (CCECC).
“This meeting was part of my ongoing efforts to implement our Taraba Development Master Plan 2024 and secure key partnerships that will drive the transformation of our state.
“During our discussions, the President of CCECC expressed his strong interest in collaborating with our state to bring our development vision to life.
“He reaffirmed CCECC’s commitment to completing the ongoing rehabilitation of the Danbaba Suntai Airport in Jalingo. I am excited to inform you that the rehabilitation project will be completed on time, ensuring that the airport is ready for commissioning by December this year”.
According to Governor Kefas, this development is a major milestone for Taraba State as the Danbaba Suntai Airport is a critical gateway for trade, tourism, and development, and its completion will significantly enhance connectivity and open up new economic opportunities for our state.
“Our partnership with CCECC is only the beginning. As we look forward to commissioning the airport, I assure you that this collaboration will extend to other infrastructure projects that will transform Taraba into a leading hub for commerce, agriculture, and industry in Nigeria and beyond”.
The Governor thanked the people of Taraba State for their continued support “as we work together to move Taraba forward”.
