Taraba Gov Sets Up Peace, Security, Crisis Accountability Committee

The Taraba State Governor Dr Agbu Kefas has constituted the Taraba State Peace, Security and Crisis Accountability Committee.

This is contained in a Press Release signed by Chief Gebon Timothy Kataps, the Secretary to the Government of Taraba State.
The Committee is to provide independent review of conflicts and crisis events in the state, evaluate peace management responses and ensure transparent accountability for perpetrators and responsible institutions.
The Committee which is to be chaired by the Department of State Security Services, DSS has the Assistant Commissioner of Police, SIB, Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, DIA and Taraba Marshall as members.
Others are representatives of the Muslim Council, Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Civil Society Organizations, Chief of Mutum-biyu and the Chairman, Bureau for Peace and Conflict Management.
The Solicitor General, Ministry of Justice is to serve as member and Secretary of the Committee.
