Taraba Gov Sets Up Committee To Acquire Surrounding Properties Around the Govt House

The Taraba State Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas has approved the constitution of a Committee for the acquisition surrounding properties around the Government House, Jalingo the State capital.

This is contained in a Press Release on Tuesday signed by the Secretary to the Government of Taraba State, Chief Gebon Timothy Kataps .
A former Governor of Taraba State, Rev Jolly Nyame is the Chairman of the 13 member Committee.
Other members of the Committee are a one time Acting Governor of the state, Alhaji Sani Abubakar Danladi, Hon Jauro Hassan, Chairman of Jalingo Local Government Council and State ALGON Chairman, Hon Danladi Baido Tijo, Alhaji Haruna Manu, Senator representing Taraba Central, Hon Tafarki Agbadu Eneme, a member of the Taraba State House of Assembly and Hon Soja Dantanimu.
Others are Mrs Jemimah J. Wunuji, a retired Permanent Secretary and member of the Taraba State Boundary Commission, Mallam Haruna Abubakar, Mallam Mohammed Baba Lawal, Dr Joshua Ma’aku Mark, the Director General of the Taraba Geographic Information System, TAGIS and Dr Hamidu Kara, Taraba State Head of Civil Service while Mr Ibrahim Yaboro, Permanent Secretary in charge of the Government House, Jalingo will serve as the Secretary of the Committee.
According to the Release, the Committee will be inaugurated on Wednesday, 25th June 2025 by One O’clock in the afternoon at the Exco Chamber, TY Danjuma House Jalingo by the Taraba State Governor, Dr Agbu.
It directed all top government functionaries to attend the inauguration ceremony.
