Taraba Gov Reaffirms Commitment to Sports Development

The Taraba State Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas has reiterated his administration’s commitment to the development of sports in Taraba State.
He restated this commitment while bidding farewell to athletes and officials representing the state at the National Sports Festival in Ogun State.
Addressing the contingents, Governor Kefas encouraged them to strive for excellence and bring home medals.
He assured them of his unwavering support and promised that his administration would continue to prioritize and invest in sports development.
The Governor also prayed for their safe journey to and from Ogun State.
In her remarks, the Permanent Secretary Sports commission Indo Markson expressed profound gratitude to the governor for taking the time to personally encourage the athletes.
She assured him that the team would serve as worthy ambassadors of the state and make Taraba proud by winning medals.
Also speaking, the Director of sports George shitta noted that Taraba State would be participating in 13 different sporting events.
He highlighted the inclusion of deaf athletes in the festival and thanked the Governor for his inclusive and consistent support for sports in the state.
One-time badminton champion, Bulus Jimkam, speaking on behalf of the athletes, expressed confidence in the team’s readiness to bring home all 13 gold medals.
He also appreciated the Governor for his continued support and motivation.
