Speaking during a special thanksgiving service held in his honour at the CRCN Local Church Council, Puje, in Wukari Local Government Area of the state, Governor Kefas expressed profound gratitude to God for the grace to serve as Governor.
He described his emergence as divinely orchestrated and reaffirmed that his administration remains anchored on faith and service to the people.
“Even before politics, I stood for justice—supporting students and the vulnerable,” Governor Kefas said, recalling his early advocacy work.
He also reflected on the challenges that confronted Taraba State at the inception of his administration, describing the period as one marked by crises and instability.
“With God’s help, we are gradually overcoming those challenges,” he added, attributing the state’s ongoing transformation to divine guidance and collective efforts.
The Governor emphasized the significance of thanksgiving as an act of worship that deepens the believer’s relationship with God.
He noted that the special service was not only a spiritual duty but also a reaffirmation of his covenant to lead with integrity and humility.
Delivering a sermon titled “Thank God for Everything,” CRCN President, Rev. Isaiah Magaji, urged Christians to cultivate a heart of gratitude, regardless of circumstances.
He stressed that thanksgiving is key to experiencing continuous divine favor.
The thanksgiving service was attended by dignitaries and stakeholders from across the country, including the Aku Uka, His Majesty Ishaku Adda Ali, a representative of the Taraba State CAN Chairman; former Governor of Benue State, Gabriel Suswam; former Minister of Labour, Danlami Joel, and a politician and philanthropist Chief David Sabo Kente, among others.
They all delivered goodwill messages, commending Governor Kefas for his transformative leadership and spiritual humility.
The event served as a moment of deep reflection, celebration, and spiritual renewal, further cementing the Governor’s resolve to lead with faith, justice, and a servant heart.
