Taraba: Gov Kefas Swears in Prof Kente As SA Political, 16 Permanent Secretaries

The Taraba State Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas Agbu Kefas, has sworn-in his Special Adviser on Political Matters, Prof Josiah Sabo Kente and 16 newly appointed Permanent Secretaries.
The occasion was held at the Exco Chamber Government House, Jalingo.
Dr Agbu Kefas, reminded them of their vital role in governance and described their respective roles as responsibilities which demands integrity, professionalism and commitment.
He charged the Permanent Secretaries to strive to live up to expectations and said that their decisions, actions, and leadership will influence the people of the state.
According to the Governor, in moving forward, their contribution means a lot and reminded the Permanent Secretaries of key areas of priority of his administration which are good governance, service delivery, teamwork, professionalism and good conduct, among others.
The Governor told the permanent Secretaries that they are now part of the team to drive the state forward in all sectors and that their leadership is crucial in achieving the vision of moving forward.
He stressed that leadership is not about titles but impacts and urged them to foster the spirit of service and humility in their respective ministries and cooperate with people there.
Responding on behalf of the appointees, the Special Adviser to Governor Agbu Kefas on Political Matters, Josiah Sabo Kente, pledged to justify the trust bestowed on them.
He appreciated the Governor for the opportunity to contribute to the development of the state and pledged to serve with integrity.
Sabo Kente said they will key into the Governor’s inclusive governance policy to achieve the lofty objectives of the moving forward agenda of the Kefas’ administration.
The Oath of office and allegiance were administered to the appointees by the Chief Judge of the state, Justice Filibus Joel Agya.
