Taraba Gov Kefas Receives Commander, Operation Whirl Stroke

The Taraba State Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas says his administration will continue to partner with security agencies to effectively tackle insecurity in the state.
The Governor stated this at the Exco Chamber Government House Jalingo while receiving the Commander, operation Whirl stroke on a courtesy visit.
He said his trust in the Security is to make the state a safe haven for investors and tourists.
Governor Agbu Kefas stressed the need for the military to play their role with high sense of responsibility for the benefit of Tarabans, adding that they should be civil so as to build confidence among citizens.
He disclosed his intentions to convene a forum with Governors from neighboring states including the Republic of Cameroon to discuss matters of security to make the states peaceful.
He extolled the qualities of the Commander, and urged him to bring his wealth of experience to ensure peace is restored to troubled areas.
Earlier,Commander Operation Whirl Stroke, Brigadier General Lepdung told the Governor that he was in the Government House to assure him of their commitment to restore peace in troubled areas of the state.
He expressed their appreciation to the Governor for his positive disposition towards the military and further solicited for more support in areas of administrative policies in order to address issues that may have resulted to disputes.
The Courtesy visit was attended by the Deputy Governor Aminu Abdullahi Alkali, Deputy Speaker, Taraba State House of Assembly, SGS Gebon Timothy Kataps, Chief of staff Government House Jalingo Jeji Williams, Head of Civil Service, Paul Tino Maigida, Members of the state Executive Council, Special Advisers, and heads of security agencies among others.
