Taraba: Gov Kefas Directs Installation of Solar Systems At NYSC Camp

The Taraba state Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas has directed the installation of the solar-powered electricity system at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Jalingo, the state capital to provide a conducive atmosphere for both the corps members and management of the scheme.
The Governor gave the directive at the closing ceremony of the 2024 Batch ‘A’ stream II corps members which took place at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp on Tuesday .
The Taraba state Governor represented by The Secretary to the Government of Taraba State, Barrister Gebon Timothy Kataps said based on the report received on the epileptic power supply to the Taraba state NYSC permanent orientation camp, the state Ministry of Youth and Sports Development has been directed to forward a proposal for the installation of solar powered system to enhance activities at the camp.
The Governor congratulated the corps members for the successful completion of the orientation course and encouraged them to explore the knowledge gotten from the camp to impact positively on the lives of the people, assuring them of their safety and welfare while in Taraba state.
The NYSC Coordinator in Taraba state Mr. Ella Aji Williams, in his address, said the scheme’s policies are aimed at reshaping the lives of young Nigerians who will strategically give back to the society.
The NYSC Coordinator thanked the Governor of Taraba state, Dr Agbu Kefas for his support to the scheme and called on the youth corps members to take the opportunities provided to them to better the lots of Nigerians.
Over One thousand four hundred 2024 Batch ‘A’ stream II corps members posted to Taraba state for the service year who were inducted into the NYSC scheme proper went through various trainings in the camp in line with the rules of the scheme.
