Taraba: Gov Kefas Commissions Morgue Built by Gen TY Danjuma

The Taraba State Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas has commissioned a state of the art Morgue constructed and donated to the Federal Medical Center, FMC Jalingo by the TY Danjuma Foundation.

The Facility was commissionef this Thursday in an occasion attended by dignitaries from far and near.

 

Commissioning the morgue, Governor Agbu Kefas stressed its significance and the need for maintenance of the facilities for durability.

The Chairman and Founder of the TY Danjuma Foundation, Retired General Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma, recalled that the idea of the construction of the morgue was conceived when his Lawyer lost his Mother and was at the hospital, saying he was displeased by the condition of the mortuary in the hospital.


TY Danjuma said the morgue has best facilities and assured that it will stand the test of time.

 

He equally stressed the need for maintenance culture in the management of the equipment to serve for a longer period of time.

 

The Taraba State Commissioner of Health, Bodiya Buma, said the new facility reflects the deep compassion and commitment of TY Danjuma to the people of the state.

According to him, the donation of the morgue underscored the collaboration between the government and the private sector for effective health care delivery services.

 

The Chief Medical Director of FMC Jalingo Dr Aisha Shehu Adamu, commended the philanthropic activities of General TY Danjuma which cuts across the country and all sectors .

Doctor Aisha Adamu said the morgue will enhanced the hospital’s ability to served the communities better.

 

The Contractor of the Facility Engineer Joshua Kempeneer, gave description of the facilities.
