Taraba Gov Congratulates New CAN Chairman, Urges Church Unity

The Taraba State Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas, has congratulated the newly elected Christian of the Association of Nigeria (CAN) Rev. Fr Awoshiri Williams.

In a Press Statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Digital Communications, Mr Emmanuel Bello, Governor Kefas said the development will greatly contribute to church unity in the state.
Describing the new chairman as a unifier, the Governor assured the Christian body of his continuous support to strengthen togetherness.
He urged CAN to work harder to deepen interfaith relationships and the enthronement of moral values in society.
Dr. Kefas noted that the church must continue to serve as the light in a world full of darkness, stressing that the church is a beacon of light that should set examples for others to emulate.
According to him, the new CAN Chairman has the onerous task of continuing to ensure that the church plays its part in the general development of Taraba State.
