Taraba Gov Attends Funeral of Late Perm Sec, Liaison Office Abuja

The Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas, was among the prominent personalities who attended the funeral programme of the late Permanent Secretary, Liaison Office Abuja, Mr. Dauda Moses Maikomo.

The solemn event was held on Saturday, 28th June 2025, at the deceased’s residence in Jalingo, the Taraba State capital.
Speaking at the programme, Governor Kefas described the late Dauda as a dedicated and hard-working civil servant who served Taraba State with unwavering commitment.
He noted that the state would deeply miss Maikomo’s wealth of experience and professional contributions.
The governor used the occasion to admonish the gathering on the fleeting nature of life, urging everyone to live it purposefully and peacefully.
He cautioned against bitterness and encouraged people to live with the consciousness that life is a journey with an inevitable end.
He further urged the bereaved family to find solace in God, assuring them of divine comfort and provision in their time of grief.
In his sermon at the funeral, the General Overseer of Life and Destiny Church, Pastor Skwaila Maigoge, preached from Lamentations 3:22 and titled his message “God is Very Much Aware.”
He reminded the congregation that God is aware of all human circumstances and encouraged them to devote their lives to God’s service, as death comes to all.

Pastor Maigoge also warned against spiritual complacency, urging attendees to remain vigilant against the schemes of the devil.
Sympathisers at the funeral took turns to pay glowing tributes, sharing testimonies about the impactful life and legacies of the deceased.
According to his biography, the late Dauda Moses Maikomo was born on June 11, 1975.
He pursued his education across several institutions and earned multiple academic qualifications.
He began his working career in 2001 as a lecturer at the College of Education, Jalingo (now in Zing), and rose through the ranks to become a Permanent Secretary in 2023—a position he held until his passing on June 10, 2025.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Becky Dauda Moses, three children, and numerous relatives.
