Taraba First Lady Extends Support To Petty Business Women

The wife of the Taraba State Governor, Mrs Agyin Agbu Kefas has extended hands of fellowship to women that are into petty businesses particularly salers of beans cake popularly known as akara in jalingo, the State capital.
The first lady who paid a surprise visit to some selling points within the jalingo metropolis, encouraged the petty traders to remain committed in their businesses to make themselves self reliant.
She also presented undisclosed amounts of money to support them in the businesses.
In the meantime, Wife of the Taraba State Governor, Mrs Agyin Agbu Kefas on Wednesday distributed exercise books to students of Government Day Secondary School, Mallum in Ardo-Kola Local Government Area of the state as part of efforts to boost education in the state.
The Press Secretary to the Governor’s Wife, Mr Solomon Bawuru who represented the First Lady, said it is her heartfelt initiative aimed at fostering education and reducing burdens on parents hence the distribution.
According to Mr Bawuru while handing over the exercise books to the Principal of the school, stressed that Mrs Agyin Agbu Kefas has demonstrated her position as a true mother of the state by ensuring that students are encouraged to take advantage of the free education policy of the state governor to enrol in schools.
The Principal of Government Day Secondary School Mallum, Shatu Joseph was delighted with the passion and dedication of the Governor’s Wife in promoting quality education in the state, promising to use the books for the purpose intended.
Some of the students interviewed, Christabel Dominic, Fancy Suleiman and Barak Jonathan all expressed happiness for the gifts from the First Lady, promising to study hard to make the state proud.
