Taraba Fed Lawmaker, Useni sends Succour to Windstorm Ravaged Constituents

A Taraba State Federal Lawmaker, Rt. Hon. Mark Bako Useni, representing Takum, Ussa and Donga Federal Constituency has sent food items to some communities in his constituency that were affected by a recent windstorm.

The Director General of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Mrs. Zubaida Umar made the disclosure before newsmen shortly after distributing the food items to the beneficiaries in Takum, headquarters of Takum Local Government Area of the State.
Mrs. Umar, emphasized that the windstorm rendered several households homeless in the affected communities.
Umar further confirmed that the gesture and NEMA’s intervention was in response to a request made by Rt. Hon. Useni whose mission was to soften the hardship experienced by the people of such communities.
According to her, the affected Communities are; Dutse, Gahwetun, Tikari , Rogo and Manya wards of the local government area.
Rt. Hon. Mark Useni, who through a telephone conversation with our Correspondent recalled that he had earlier provided roofing materials to the victims, thanked the Federal Government for yielding to his request for the people.
The Federal Lawmaker however, encouraged the people of the area to support the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu led administration to succeed in its economic policies which according to him will bring development and stability to the country.
Our Correspondent gathered that the food items provided included 439 bags of rice, 439 bags of Maize, tomatoes paste, cooking oil and seasoning cubes.
Expressing appreciation over the Federal Lawmaker ‘s generosity, the Councillor representing Manya Ward of Takum Local Government Area, Useni Ezra lauded Rt. Hon. Mark Bako Useni who he described as a true member of the All Progressive Congress (APC), saying his representation has been impactful on the people of the local government area.
Hon. Ezra also called on other lawmakers from both the federal and state Assemblies to emulate Rt. Hon. Mark Bako Useni in the provision of dividends of democracy to the people.
