Taraba: DG, BPP Bags Award For Credible and Quality Leadership, Service Delivery

A Non government Organisation, Network of Civil Society Organisation in Nigeria (NCSON) has awarded the Director General of the Taraba State Bureau of Public Procurement, Mr Assemboh Tanko Shamaki, the best performing leader with credible and quality leadership in service delivery.

The presentation ceremony was held at the Bureau of Public Procurement conference hall Jalingo in Monday.

According to the National Coordinator of NCSON, Mrs Esther Adebayo, the Director General has performed excellently well in the area of leadership and dedication to service.

 

Mrs Adebayo explained that through his commitment to work, the Bureau has saved the State over 25 billion naira in the contracts awarded under the presented administration in just one year of Governor Agbu Kefas in office.

 

According to her, this is the kind of exemplary leadership the present day youths who are the leaders of tomorrow should emulate.

In his remarks, the Director General, Taraba State Bureau of Public Procurement, Mr. Assemboh Tanko Shamaki thanked Governor Agbu Kefas for giving him the opportunity to serve the State in the capacity of DG, BPP to contribute his own quota to the development of Taraba state.

 

He added that accountability and transparency has been his watch word in every thing he is doing, adding that he would not have achieved this great feat with out the support of his staff.

 

The Director General then pledged the willingness of the Bureau to partner with all meaningful organisations and associations that will advance the interest of the state especially by adhering to due process in all its dealings.

 

He thanked all the staff of the Bureau, dedicating the award to them, saying without their support, this award would not have been possible.
