Taraba Deputy Gov Commissions Cattle Market in Zing

The Taraba state Government has commissioned a livestock market named “Kefas/Aminu cattle market” in Zing Local Government Area of the state with the hope of improving the Internally generated revenue base of Taraba state.
The Market was commissioned by the Taraba State Deputy Governor, Alh Aminu Abdullahi Alkali who represented the Governor Agbu Kefas.
The Taraba state Governor expressed the determination of his Administration to improve on the wellbeing of the people of Taraba state through direct projects that will impact positively on the lives of the people.
According to him, the state Government will collaborate with the local Government to make the market a standard one for both local and international investors and announced the donation of ten million naira to improve facilities at the market.
The Chairman of Zing Local Government Area, Hon Davoro Titus while welcoming his august visitors, commended Dr Agbu kefas for providing the enabling atmosphere for the completion of the livestock market tagged as Kefas/AMINU cattle Market.
The Taraba State Commissioner for Environment and climate change, Hajiya Aisha Barde, the Permanent Secretary office of the Deputy Governor, Mr Samuel Lauya and other stake holders said the establishment of the livestock market will go along way in improving not only the internally generated revenue base of the state but will create employment to the teeming youth of the area and the state at large.
The ALGON Chairman, Dr Aminu Jauro Hassan who spoke on behalf of his colleagues, described the livestock market as life opportunities provided to the youth of the area and called on the youth to grab the opportunity to double their support to the Administration of Dr Agbu Kefas for more developments to thrive.
The Provost of the College of Education Zing, Professor EJika Sambo called for concerted efforts at ensuring the speedy development of the market, while
Dr Bitrus Ishaku of the Animal science Department of the Taraba state University Jalingo who was the Guest speaker at the occasion, presented a paper titled “untapped gold mine” .
He called for proper training of the youth inline with modern best practices of cattle fattening.
The Kpanti Zing, Alh Suleiman Ibrahim Sambo assured cattle rearers in the area of a level playing ground for the market to thrive.
Various cultural displays were presented at the occasion.
The state Deputy Governor Alh Aminu Abdullahi Alkali had earlier on arrival, paid homage on the kpanti Zing, Alhaji Suleiman Sambo to inform him on his mission in his domain and sought for fatherly and royal blessings.
