Taraba Council Boss hails Governor Kefas’s efforts at tackling insecurity

The Chairman of Karim-Lamido Local Government Area of Taraba state, Hon Bitrus Danjos on Tuesday hailed governor Agbu Kefas’s efforts at tackling insecurity in the state.

Danjos who stated this while answering questions from newsmen in Jalingo explained that before the coming of governor Kefas administration, Taraba state was battling with varying degrees of insecurity in the state.
He noted that in few years ago, banditry, kidnapping, herders – farmers conflicts was a nightmare for the people of the state.
“Today, we are happy that the administration of Dr Agbu Kefas has taken a bold step and dealt decisively with all the elements threatening our peace and unity.
His administration within one year plus has ended kidnapping and banditry that today our farmers goes to their farms without fear of being kidnapped”, he said.
According to him, bandits and Kidnappers were in the past terrorising communities like Jebjeb, Ndela, Kuka kundi , Yaboro, Amar, Kambari, Bangala, Zip, Binnari, Belango, Didango, Usmanu, Mutumdaya Zailani, Andamin, and other villanges in Karim-Lamido LGA of the state.
We are quite happy that with the shortest period of Dr Kefas as Governor of Taraba state, all the insecurity issues confronting us as a state have became a history now.
We also are grateful to the governor over his prompt intervention in the recent crisis that erupted within Wurkun/ Kyiu karimjo tribe. The governor’s effort shows that the peace of the state remains his top most priority” he added.
He highlighted that the Governor since assumption of office has been treating Tarabans with respect, kindness, generosity and also striving to make the state a better place for all.
He lauded the governor for distributing fertilisers to farms in the state, stressing that the gesture would go a long to assist farmers during this year’s farming season.
