Taraba College to begin Dual Mode of education – Provost

Professor Ejika Sambo, Provost of Taraba State College of Education Zing (COEZ) has assured students that the institution will soon commence a Dual Mode of education.
Sambo made the disclosure during the 46th matriculation ceremony of the college.
The ceremony held at Prof. Sa’ad Abubakar hall of the institution Sambo, while matriculating about 1,300 newly admitted students for 2024/2025 academic session, congratulated the matriculants for being part of the set that would benefit from the gesture.
He explained that Dual Mode of education is a situation where students will enroll into a degree program without affiliating with any university.
“It will interest you to know that your set is the most luckiest because Dual Mode will soon commence, where you will enroll into a degree program in the college without affiliating with any university”, he said.
Our Correspondent revealed that the state college of education located in Zing town of Zing Local Government Area of the State is presently affiliated to the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, Kaduna State.
Speaking further, the provost said the day marks the beginning of a new chapter, a journey of learning, growth and discovery.
He urged them to embrace the opportunity with enthusiasm and determination to work assiduously towards achieving success.

“You must abide by the oath you have taken, be of good behaviour and shun all forms of social vices such as examination malpractices, cultism, indecent dressing, youth restiveness, and other vices that are detrimental to the law of the college”,
“If caught indulging in any of such acts, the perpetrators would be dismissed from the college”, he said.
According to him, the college has enough facilities that can compete favourably with its counterparts across the country.
In an interview with Journalists shortly, the college boss said the management matriculated about one thousand, three hundred students for 2024/2025 academic session.
“We will start our dual mode program at the next academic session. As I speak with you, the bill has passed through first reading while we are waiting for the second and third readings at the state House of Assembly before it can be taken to the Governor for accent”,
“By June specifically, it will be ready and by then, we will have the mandate to admit students for NCE and Degree programmes”,
“This year, we admitted One Thousand, Three Hundred students and same number were matriculated”, he added.
Highlights of the ceremony were administration of matriculation oath by the Provost and cultural dances by students from various local government areas of the State.
