Taraba Chief of Staff Hails Sector Lead’s Visit as Milestone for Energy and Youth Empowerment

The Chief of Staff to Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State, Dr Jeji Williams, has described the visit of Sector Lead, a waste-to-energy company, as a welcome development with significant benefits for Taraba State.
Receiving the delegation in his office after an inspection tour alongside officials of Sector Lead, Hon. Williams emphasized that the initiative marks a major milestone, as Taraba is set to witness the emergence of its first state-owned energy site.
He noted that the facility, once operational, will provide alternative energy to power industries and factories across the state.
“This is the first time Taraba State will experience a state-owned energy site aimed at converting waste into power. Sector Lead has shown clear commitment and seriousness, and the state stands to benefit immensely,” he stated.
He further revealed that some small companies are already partnering with the initiative by helping to package waste materials.
Many of those involved, he said, are members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) who, after completing their service year in the state, chose to remain due to Taraba’s vast opportunities and resource potential.
“The government is keen on encouraging these young innovators to continue their work, as this project opens up a new and sustainable source of power for the state,” he added.
Dr William also disclosed that the relationship between Sector Lead and the Taraba State Government dates back to two years ago, noting that this collaboration is now yielding promising results.
