Taraba CEOs Forum Reaffirms Support for Government as Danjuma Assumes Chairmanship

The Forum of Chief Executive Officers of Boards and Parastatals in Taraba State has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting government policies and programmes following the assumption of office of its new chairman, Dr Garba Danjuma.

The reaffirmation was made during the forum’s New Year meeting, which also marked the formal handover of leadership from the outgoing chairman, Comrade David Nya to Dr Garba Danjuma, who previously served as Vice Chairman of the forum.
Comrade Nya, who steered the affairs of the forum for two years, is stepping aside following his appointment as Permanent Secretary in the Taraba State Civil Service.
In his valedictory address, he thanked members and executives of the forum for their cooperation and support throughout his tenure.
He noted that the forum remained united and focused in coordinating its activities to support government policies and programmes, describing the implementation of such policies as the cardinal objective of the forum.
“The state government is doing a lot, and civil servants remain the driving force in ensuring that these policies translate into tangible development for the people,” Nya said.
He assured the present administration of the forum’s continued support for the Taraba State Government and expressed confidence in the leadership capacity of Dr Garba Danjuma to further strengthen the forum.
While calling on members to rally round the new chairman, Nya commended them for the unwavering support he enjoyed during his time in office.

In his acceptance remarks, Dr Garba Danjuma congratulated Comrade David Nya on his appointment as Permanent Secretary, describing it as a well-deserved elevation and a testament to his years of service.
“I am happy to take over the mantle of leadership from Comrade David Nya and I will work towards ensuring that the forum continues to support the policies of government like we have been doing. We have worked closely together, and I am pleased that he has moved forward in his career ,” Dr Danjuma said.
The new chairman reaffirmed the forum’s resolve to continue supporting the administration of Governor Agbu Kefas in achieving the vision and mission of the Taraba State Government.
He urged members to remain united and committed to advancing government policies and programmes through the forum.
Dr Danjuma also wished the outgoing chairman success in his future endeavours, noting that continuity, collaboration and collective responsibility would remain the guiding principles of the forum under his leadership.
The meeting ended with a renewed pledge by members to work closely with the state government in promoting effective governance and sustainable development across Taraba State.
