Taraba BPP Boss Commends Gov Kefas’s Commitment To Due Process

Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State has been commended for his determination to address the challenges facing the Civil Service through welfare, training and re-training to ensure effective and productive civil service in the State.

The Taraba State Director General, Bureau of Public Procurement, Assemboh Tanko Shamaki made the commendation while briefing the new staff who were drawn from various Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to the Bureau on Wednesday at the Bureau’s Conference hall in Jalingo, the state capital.

 

According to the Director General, it has been over ten years that nobody from the State civil service has gone for this professional procurement officers capacity training, conversion and induction course untill now that Dr. Agbu Kefas has broken the jinx.

 

The BPP boss added that this is another way of addressing the staff strength challenge of the Bureau as well as maintaining professionalism.

 

Mr Shamaki emphasized the significance of training and re-training of procurement officers, saying the professional training is not only important but necessary.

 

He described the organisers of the training who will be conducting the training in Lagos State as the best in imparting international best practices in Due Process to serve humanity.

 

Assemboh Shamaki maintained that with the support the Bureau is receiving from the Governor, the Bureau will take Taraba State to its rightful position among the leading Due Process world best practitioners.

 

The BPP boss, urged the participants to show commitment and be good ambassadors to this noble task so that together the state can achieve improvements in its economy.

Speaking on behalf of the newly recruited Procurement Officers, Jethro Anthony thanked the State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas and the Director General of BPP for finding them worthy to serve the State in this capacity by organizing the development and professional training for them.

 

He assured that they will uphold the name of the Bureau and make the state proud.

They promised to be good ambassadors of the state after the programme.
