Taraba at 34: Gov Kefas Recounts Blessings, Calls For More Unity

The Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas has congratulated the state citizenry on the occasion of the 34th anniversary of state creation.
The Governor’s congratulatory message is contained in a Press Release signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Digital Communications, Mr Emmanuel Bello.
Governor Kefas said Taraba state can count its many blessings as well as the challenges that came its way on the path to a vibrant statehood.
According to him, the state’s unity in diversity has made it stronger and more enduring over the years, saying in 34 years, Taraba state has matured and taken its place in the Committee of Nations.
Dr. Kefas noted that growth and development have always been a product of hard work and perseverance.
He stressed that the state today is a testament to the hard work of past administration and the current effort his government is making.
The Governor noted further that it takes painstaking planning and commitment to forge a great future for any state.
He therefore stressed the need for patience and cooperation with the government to achieve growth.
Dr. Kefas said the government mantra on Moving Forward is anchored on the history of the state since its creation in 1991, emphasising that right from the start, his administration took the bold steps to make eduction free.
He said free and compulsory education, has revolutionised the education sector in a way the state has never seen before.
The Governor therefore commended the citizens for their active participation in governance through their effective suggestions and positive contributions, stressing that building a state takes the collective inputs of all and sundry.
While calling on all stakeholders to continue to see the state as everyone’s project, Dr. Kefas said Taraba state will continue to experience accelerated growth.
He said the state Master Plan is a document that has laid the road map to the state’s development for decades to come, promising to lay the strong foundations for continuous growth in the coming years.
The Governor wished the state more prosperous years ahead, pleading with citizens to continue to support all the programs of the government for maximum impact.
